A Hollywood actress was spotted in a George’s St restaurant today

It is always a bit of a paradox when famous people show up in Ireland.

On the one hand, we always love it when the rich and famous and beautiful descend upon our little island and we naturally get very excited to be in their company, but on the other we are world-renowned for just letting them get on with their lives and enjoy themselves here without much hassle. That might be why Uma Thurman has chosen to visit Dublin. The actress, known for her roles in Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Gattaca, Batman & Robin and Dangerous Liaisons can spend a few days here and barely anyone notice until she pops something up on social media herself. The Oscar-nominated star took to Instagram to say how much she's enjoying checking out one of Dublin's top restaurants (according to Trip Advisor), in the company of her daughter Maya and son Levon.

Maya is the daughter of Uma and her ex-husband Ethan Hawke, and is currently in Ireland filming a new adaptation of Little Women, starring alongside the legendary Jessica Fletcher, Michael Gambon and Emily Watson. Maya will be playing sister Jo, with Willa Fitzgerald, Annes Elwy and Kathryn Newton playing Meg, Beth and Amy respectively. And in case you're wondering, the "Little" doesn't describe their actual size...
