Christmas episodes of Virgin River land on Netflix

Virgin River has returned to Netflix after a short break and fans are thrilled.

Two brand-new episodes are exactly what we need as the dark evenings and chilly weather take over.

Speaking about the new episodes, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith told Glamour that fans will love the holiday episodes.

“The holiday episodes are a little bit lighter, and we wanted to play a little more comedy after the weight of this season.

“It felt like, if we’re going to give a holiday gift to the audience, let’s make it a fun one.

“So part of what Mel and Jack are going through in those two episodes is like the scavenger hunt through Virgin River trying to track down the man who is her biological father. They’re going from clue to clue.”

The new episodes will also see Mel come to terms with news about her biological dad.

Mels’s sister Joey reveals to her that their mother had an affair with a man from Virgin River, who may be Mel’s real dad.
