The trailer for upcoming psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling is finally here. The highly-anticipated film starring Harry Styles and Florence Pugh has been directed by Olivia Wilde - and it looks intense. Set in the 1950s, the plot follows an isolated housewife Alice (Pugh) who lives in a utopian experimental community in California. She's married to Jack (Styles) who seems to be hiding a very dark secret. In the community, men go out and work while woman must stay home and take care of household chores. All inhabitants are loyal to the mysterious Victory project. It all seems very Handmaid's Tale-esque and surreal. As time goes on, Alice starts to suspect that something is a little off with the town she's living in and soon “uncovers a disturbing truth about her seemingly perfect life". The trailer, which starts out with scenes of glamorous parties as Jack and Alice lay in bed lovingly looking into each other's eyes, soon descends into chaos. “What is actually happening? What if this place is dangerous?” we hear Alice in the trailer. She is quickly brushed off and gaslit my the men in the movie, even her own husband. The official synopsis reads: “Life is perfect, with every resident’s needs met by the company. All they ask in return is  unquestioning commitment to the Victory cause. "But when cracks in their idyllic life begin to appear, exposing flashes of something much more sinister lurking beneath the attractive façade, Alice can’t help questioning what they’re doing in Victory, and why. "Just how much is Alice willing to lose to expose what’s really going on in paradise?” The supporting cast consists of several familiar faces like Wilde herself, Chris Evans, Gemma Chan, Sydney Chandler, and Nick Kroll. Don't Worry Darling arrives in Irish cinemas on 23 September.
