Pretty Little Liars fans are going to love this new show

The highly anticipated TV adaptation of 'We Were Liars' by E. Lockhart is coming soon

The TV adaptation of the bestselling novel We Were Liars by E. Lockhart is set to be released on June 18th.

Written and produced by Carina Adly MacKenzie (Roswell, New Mexico, The Originals) and Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries, Legacies), the show synopsis reads:

'We Were Liars follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her tight-knit inner circle, nicknamed the Liars, during their summer escapades on her grandfather's New England private island.

'The Sinclairs are American royalty—known for their good looks, old money, and enviable bond—but after a mysterious accident changes Cadence's life forever, everyone, including her beloved Liars, seems to have something to hide.'

The novel gained a large popularity through social media, particularly TikTok, and the new series is sure to do the same.

The cast of We Were Liars includes Emily Alyn Lind as Cadence Sinclair Eastman and Shubham Maheshwari.

Sunrise on the Reaping actor Joseph Zada will star as Johnny Sinclair Dennis.

Caitlin FitzGerald, Mamie Gummer, Candice King, Rahul Kohli, and David Morse also star in We Were Liars.

Executive producers of the upcoming series are Emily Cummins (The Endgame, Vampire Academy) for My So-Called Company, Brett Matthews (Legacies), Pascal Verschooris (The Vampire Diaries), and, of course, the author E. Lockhart.

There's no doubt fans of the book will adore this upcoming series.

We Were Liars is available to stream on Prime Video from June 18th
