I won't lie, I read reviews from the US before heading to the first Irish screening of the film, I saw journalists giving the movie glowing reviews and I became nervous that I was in for a letdown. Nervous that if I believed their reports, I'd set myself up for something that wouldn't meet my expectations.
But, thankfully, I'm so pleased to say that the reports aren't fluffed. The film is absolutely epic and here's why...
Firstly, the tale is a little darker, giving it a bit more depth and a storyline that's actually quite gripping. Anna and Elsa are on a mission to save the Kingdom of Arendelle but, to do so, they must uncover some secrets about their families' past and find a way to make things right.
With the help of Kristoff, Olaf, and the adorable Sven, they embark on a treacherous mission that'll have you feeling every emotion.
Like the first movie, the songs in Frozen 2 don't disappoint. My personal favourite and the big track of Frozen 2 is Into The Unknown which is belted out a couple of times during the flick.
But, All Is Found and Somethings Never Change will also have you still singing as you leave the screen.
Frozen 2 also features plenty of laughter, without surprise, this is thanks to the lovable Olaf who is just packed with one-liners that'll make the adults and kiddies laugh for different reasons.
And lastly, like any Disney film worth its salt, Frozen 2 is full of love. Between sisters, between couples, between tribes - Frozen 2 is an absolute gem and a tribute to Disney and the fact that 82 years later, they're still creating films that can capture your heart and make you believe in magic.
Get excited, Frozen 2 lands in cinemas November 22.Anna Kendrick to direct The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo adaptation
