The film proved far more popular than other DC superhero movies like Suicide Squad and Batman v. Superman.
Wonder Woman's star Gal Gadot has also been praised for her promotion of feminist ideals.
Speaking to Rolling Stone magazine recently, the actress said she doesn't understand why people ask her if she's a feminist because she clearly is.

Because whoever is not a feminist is a sexist.' "Wonder Woman is due for digital release on August 29. Physical copies will be available by September 19.
