Ignoring the signs and symptoms is something we must avoid in a bid to improve women's heart health knowledge.
But what symptoms should we look out for?
According to the HSE, the main symptoms to beware of include discomfort in your chest that comes on suddenly and doesn't go away.
The pain men and women experience during a heart attack differs.
"It may feel like a squeezing or fullness, and the pain can be anywhere in the chest, not just on the left side," WebMD says.
