Roz Purcell has opened up about her eating disorder recovery

Roz Purcell has often spoken out about her eating disorder recovery, with the presenter helping raise awareness about the illness in Ireland, as well as helping many people feel less alone in their struggles.

She recently opened up about the importance of having a strong support system in place during your recovery. The radio presenter said that meeting her now-husband, Zach, helped her feel secure.

She told The Irish Times that her life "began to go right" after she met Zach.

She told the publication, "He made me feel very secure, so I wasn’t that conscious of my body. That was really nice."

Roz shared that her life started to feel more secure when she met Zach.

"I’m not romantic at all, but I was recovering from the eating disorder, I was feeling a lot more confident with how I physically am."

"He loves his mum and sister so much. He has so much respect for all the women in his life and spoke so highly of them," Roz added.

Roz and Zach announced their engagement in 2023 and tied the knot in May at Ballynahinch Castle.

"I feel like as women we’re told to concentrate on certain things like having kids and getting married, but I want to enjoy the now.”
