10 Things… Her.ie Loved This Week

At the end of a sunshine-filled four-day week, we're taking a look back the things that have made Her.ie happy over the past few days. Our highlights this week include... _______________________________________________ Her.ie has the X-Factor! This week, Liz headed along to the X-Factor auditions in Dublin to check out the Irish talent on offer. From some stunning singers, to a hit of Latin fever and a questionable Dublin boyband in Christmas jumpers, she had a great day getting a sneak peek at who could be making it to this year’s judge’s houses! Be sure to keep an eye out for the best Cheryl impressionist we’ve heard yet… Belissimo! This has been a week for getting out of the office ASAP every evening and retiring to the garden for a few hours, perhaps with a glass of wine in hand. Sure you might as well be in Italy! We're planning extend the fantasy and stock up a little at the Supervalu Italian wine sale. The sale takes place in all stores from April 16th to 29th with major bargains to be found across some of the country's finest exports. We're always a fan of bubbles, so we'll be giving the first nod to the divine Lunetta Prosecco, €15. Island Dreaming We paid a visit to River Island this week for a sneak peek at their high summer range. Hands up who else wants to go to Ibiza immediately? First stop PACHA...

Winner Alright The Maximum Media family took home the gold at the Media Awards on Thursday night for our partnership with AIB and The Irish Times for the fantastic Start-Up Academy. We're very proud of the team and doing our best to be quiet today... they're delicate.

Giving It Lip Michelle is obsessed with this video of Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway in the best lip sync battle yet. Blunt is still the one she'd love to head out for a night with, but there is no denying that Hathaway absolutely kills this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SZfznYgToc Pamper Party This week, Mary was feeling sisterly love for her fabulous big sister Fiona, who treated her to a gorgeous day of pampering at a spa in Dublin. Not only was it not even Mary's birthday or any other special event, her sister told her that it was all for being such a great sister (okay, Mary may have ad-libbed a little bit there). Either way, she's feeling the love big time for the mammy of her stunning little niece! Fashion Fix ​Cathy had a sneak peek at what's new on the high street and there's gorgeous stuff on the way from Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis and Miss Selfridge. Fringing, patterns and beautiful brights... bring on festival fun. A Little Bit of Focus Siúcra sent in basket of delicious scones to celebrate the launch of their Home Sweet Home campaign which will see the company pledge €25,000 to charity Focus Ireland. Shoppers can support the cause by picking up a specially-branded 1kg pack of Siúcra granulated sugar which our resident baker Rebecca is planning to do this weekend. Who knows, we may get some delicious treats on Monday... here's hoping! Penneys from Heaven It was a very busy week on the fashion front, as Penneys also invited us into their AMAZING new HQ for a little look at what's coming over the next few months. Trust us when we say you'll love it.

Girly Gingham It’s officially the summer season (or at least with this weather we’re happy to fake it), so Liz decided to treat herself in the sales to this gingham creation. Teamed with a lemon cardi and a pair of wedge heels, it’ll be the perfect outfit for any beer garden or brunch with the girls. Besides, who doesn’t love a pleated mini? That’s right, nobody. ‘Cause it’s super cute!
