The letter she wrote to him in May explained her experience of lockdown and how she couldn't wait to give him a "cuddle." "There's one hundred years and one day between us. I've only seen you twice from a distance and I'm not allowed to touch you or cuddle you," she wrote. This episode in particular was a very emotional one as Margaret tried her best to stay strong while reading her personal message to little Daniel. The 100 year old did get to hold her great-grandson baby Daniel when the first set of restrictions were lifted back in July, so she did get to give him a big cuddle. Margaret also celebrated her 100th birthday during lockdown back in April. Some of her friends and family dropped over and sang her happy birthday, from outside in her garden, she told RTE: "It was very emotional because I didn't expect it." The letter she wrote to baby Daniel ended with; "I love you all and God bless you, I'll be watching over all of you when I get to heaven."
