The event was run by dog-walking website Borrow My Doggy to raise money for charity, Save the Children. The organisations hoped that it would raise awareness for the charity's annual Christmas Jumper Day, where participants pay £2, wear a Christmas jumper, and support disadvantaged children. Christmas Jumper Day takes places on December 15.
