An American high school is offering refunds after yearbook included quotes from Hitler and Stalin

Your end of school year book is a memento of the times you spent with friends in school, and is often something that is treasured by people long after they graduate.

We can assume that the students at this Pennsylvania high school may feel a little differently. The Pittsburgh-Tribune-Review report that there were quotations attributed to Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin and ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in the Quaker Valley High School yearbook. Not ideal reading for bright young minds. The school emailed parents stating:

“This is a regrettable mistake, as the school district would never knowingly condone this messaging in a school-sponsored publication. We are well aware of the emotions this has conjured in many of our students and their families, and for that we are sorry.” “Though the content of the quotes was reviewed thoroughly, the attributions clearly were not,” the statement said.

The school is offering a refund to those who don't want to keep the yearbooks while also offering stickers to cover up any offensive statements for students who want to retain them.
