"I had quite a few people do this for my wedding. I shouldn't have to chase you down for an answer..."
Many other brides replied to the thread, and came with their stories of wedding RSVPs.
Some complained about people getting back to them on various platforms.
While another complained about her parents."Don't do verbal RSVPs if you are given a reply card. People forget or word is not communicated back to the proper person.
"I also don't like text or similar RSVPs because it forces someone to gather all the various responses from different threads or platforms. Wedding planning is much easier if all you have to do is sort thru one stack of rsvp cards."
"I said yes and showed up but I had no seat because my parents apparently mentioned to the bride I probably wouldn't go."However, someone did come up with quite a simple solution.
"Honestly I’m thinking of putting that as a disclaimer in my invites (please rsvp by this date, if no response we will assume you are not attending)."Noted.
