Photographer Samantha Chami from Stereo Photo Album started doing these types of photos to capture moments more vividly and make them more memorable when you look back on them.
"My husband, who is also a professional photographer, has an interest in antique cameras and since the arrival of our son we started exploring the idea of photographing and making our own personal 3D stereo reels. This has since been a really beautiful and captivating way to keep" She said.The photographer uses an old 3D camera from the 1950’S she then hand cuts and mounts the 3D slides into reels. The reels are then viewed through a 3D viewer.
While it might sound complicated, the video below perfectly illustates the process carried out as well as the beautiful finished product.
