The hair was so tightly wrapped that it had cut through her skin and caused her toe to swell. The condition is called a "hair tourniquet" and can cut off a baby's circulation, causing severe pain.
The condition can lead to serious infections and can even result in loss of fingers or toes.
Luckily, Jessica was able to remove the hair with a magnifying glass and tweezers, but the couple are eager to spread awareness of the condition which could be easily missed.
Scott wrote:
"The hair managed to cut all the way through Molly’s skin.
"But it could have been worse had it gone much longer untreated, or if the hair wasn’t accessible."
