Add us as a preferred source on Google »It's that time of the year again, St Patrick's Day, the celebration of Ireland and all things Irish.
Go to any establishment for your drinks and you might be charged the earth for a simple combination of a few ingredients in shot-glass-size, such as the famed Baby Guinness.
Taking inspiration from its big brother the normal Guinness, this little drink is a favourite among many.
The shot-tail actually contains only two ingredients, neither of which are Guinness, getting it's name from its resemblance to the iconic Irish stout.
It's simple to make and all you'll need is Kahlua and Baileys, or any other coffee and cream liquors.
The most important part of making the concoction is the ratio as well as pouring method.
It starts with 60ml of Kahlua before topping with 30ml of Baileys, otherwise put, two parts Kahlua, one part Baileys.
However, the trick here is to pour the Baileys into the shot glass over the back of a spoon, allowing it slowly enter the glass without sinking to the bottom, avoiding it mixing with the Kahlua.
Ultimately, this means the Baileys will sit on top of the Kahlua, giving the iconic Guinness look.
Now go forth and be Baby-Guinness-making whizzes, just remember to drink in moderation.
