Irish Coast Guard Rescue “Mickey Mouse” From The Irish Sea

A lifeboat has rescued a large Mickey Mouse balloon from the Irish Sea after they received several 999 emergency calls from County Wicklow reporting that something was floating in the water. According to the BBC, several people reported something crashing into the sea at Bray to the Irish Coast Guard in Dublin. A RNLI crew from Dun Laoghaire responded to the call and rescued the balloon from the water. They said they were:"particularly happy to assist Mickey Mouse, one of the all-time favourite cartoon characters." “We’re happy that this was a call made with good intent and calling 999 and asking for coast rescue is always the best course of action,” operations manager Stephen Wynne commented. Initially, those who reported the incident feared that a paraglider got into trouble off the coast. Mickey is safe now and that's all that matters.
