A boxer, a fashion designer and a teacher share their experiences of the Leaving Cert

Today is the day.

We all remember results day and even now years later, a mere mention of the Leaving Cert evokes memories of anxiousness, stress, nerves and nausea. Nearly 60,000 students across the country received their results today, and we're sure there are lots of mixed emotions. While some are happy with the outcome, others might be worried about the CAO offers coming out on Thursday. To help settle your minds, we spoke to three women with very different but equally successful careers. They all have different stories and are here to remind you that no matter what comes your way over the next few days, it will work out in the end. Muinteor Meg, an Irish and History secondary school teacher with 10,000 followers on Instagram, originally thought she wasn't going to get into the course she wanted Meg, who solely communicates through Irish on social media, said: We also spoke to boxer Kelly Harrington, who won gold last year at the Women's World Boxing Championships.

"I didn't do my Leaving Cert, I did my Junior Cert and then I went on to Colaiste Íde and I did Sports and Leisure Management. "My advice to anyone would be, don't sweat it. Life always throws you curve balls and just learn how to roll with it, you move on. "Life is mapped out for us and you just got to do what feels right for you. Some things may not pan out now but who knows, they might pan out next year or the year after. There are loads of different options for you, so don't sweat it."

Last but not least, fashion designer Aoife McNamara gave her advice on getting the Leaving Cert results, saying that you will be able to reach your dreams no matter what.

"I am just after graduating from LSAD, Limerick School of Art and Design, last year. I did a four-year BA Hons degree there. It was such an amazing experience and I'm still here in Ireland. I went away for a bit, but I'm back home now and I have set up my own brand, Aoife Ireland and it's such an exciting time!"

Just like all three women said, what is for you won't pass you by. All you can do is your best and if you really want something, there's always more than one way of doing it.
