Little kitten born with a rare condition now able to walk again thanks to 3D printed leg

A kitten that was born with a rare condition which meant she was unable to steady herself on her feet has been fitted with a 3D printed leg. The wobbly little kitten, called Carly, was born with a condition called swimmer's syndrome, which means she can't really walk around without falling over. The 6-month-old cat was given into All Paws Rescue group in Canada and at first found it hard to find a forever home because people didn't want to deal with her condition. However, a pet groomer called Karen Boerner fostered Carly last December, and shared a social media post asking if anyone could help find a solution to Carly's wobbly problem. A company that makes gaming equipment for people with disabilities, Andosh Accessible Gaming, saw the post and decided to try help Carly and Karen out. Co-owner of the gaming equipment company, Andrew Cameron, collaborated with a certified orthotist to create a 3D printed brace for the kitten. And she was finally able to walk! "It was amazing to see how quickly she was getting around," said the administrator of the company, Jennifer Cameron.
