The report states: "Average annual earnings for all employees, including regular, overtime and irregular earnings, were €37,646 in 2017, an increase of 2.0 percent from 2016.
"Average annual earnings were €46,402 for full-time employees in 2017, an increase of 1.7 percent from 2016. Part-time employees earned €17,059 on average in 2017, an increase of 3.2 percent in the year."
To further that, "total cost of employing labour in 2017 was €77.2 billion, an increase of 5.9 percent from 2016," says the CSO.
"Total annual labour costs were €62.3 billion in 2012 and have increased each year to 2017, up 23.9 percent to €77.2 billion in the five years."
