A mother in Yorkshire has shared a images of her ill baby in an effort to warn parents of the dangers of well-wishers' kisses. Clare Henderson from Doncaster claims that her baby could have died after contracting the herpes virus from a visitor. She warned: "Before 3 months old a baby cannot fight the herpes virus. If a baby contracts this it can cause liver and brain damage and lead to death. "I know this sounds like I am scaremongering but if my friend had not told me about this my baby girl could have been very seriously ill." The post has been shared more than 44,000 times, with many commenters expressing their shock, The newborn was put on anti-viral drip for five days, and is now reportedly on the mend and doing well.
