Mmany parents grieve in silence for the children that they held only briefly and sometimes, not at all.
Individuals and businesses across Ireland will light up their homes and premises tonight in remembrance of all the children who weren't able to go home.
Nina Farrell, who has helped organise the Wave of Light, spoke to Her this morning:
"We currently have 75 buildings in 24 counties confirmed who will light up blue and pink from 7-8pm tonight in honour of all babies gone too soon. We hope everyone affected by baby loss, be it through miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death will get some comfort tonight seeing lots of iconic buildings lighting up in remembrance and support of all our precious babies. "We want everyone to know that their baby matters and we are hoping that by seeing buildings lighting up it will spark lots of conversations as we want to move away from the darkness and stigma that was attached to baby loss. We want everyone to know how proud we are of our babies and that we will never forget them".
