Oh, Hay There… Driver Hides From Police In Nativity Scene After Crashing Car

Not a wise man. A man suspected of crashing his car due to drink driving attempted to escape police by hiding in a nativity scene. The man crashed his Mini Cooper into a metal barrier on the Leeds Road in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, during the early hours of Saturday morning. He fled from the car and hid in a large crib depicting the birth of Jesus situated about 200 metres from the accident.

According to The Telegraph, North Yorkshire Police located the suspect hidden beneath the hay at the Christmas nativity scene. Folk online had somewhat of a field day with the news, and it goes without saying that the remainder of this article contains puns.
