For the third year running, the Irish retailer has partnered with the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA World). Through this partnership, Primark will donate €170,000 to the cause.
The donation will be used to help end discriminatory legislation and advance LGBT+ rights around the world.
Steve Lawton, Primark's group product director welcomed the partnership.
"The product and the partnership are a true representation of our commitment to inclusivity and equality," he said. "In true Primark style, there’s something for everyone, and we’re looking forward to seeing our customers wear these pieces not only at times of celebration but incorporating them proudly into their everyday look.”
Similarly, André du Plessis, the executive director at ILGA World stressed the importance of supporting LGBT+ organisations throughout Pride. He added that in many countries, LGBT+ people face persecution simply for existing.
He thanked Primark for their support saying, "Change is unstoppable when we’re united!"
Primark's Feeling Proud collection is available in Penneys around the country throughout the month of June.
