Alan Rickman's advice to his sixteen-year-old self is concise, to-the-point, and brilliant.
The iconic actor who sadly passed away this week after a battle with cancer, shared his advice in Dear Me - a book of celebrities' letters to their younger selves.
J.K. Rowling, James Franco and Stephen King were all featured, but Alan Rickman's has taken on a new poignancy in the wake of his passing.
He simply wrote:
“Dear Me, if in future years, anyone asks you to give advice to your sixteen year old self… don’t.
“Make your own unique messes, and then work your own way out of them.
"See you.
