Rescue Dog Found Lying In The Spot His Owner Was Killed

Stories like these are testament to the unwavering loyalty of man's best friend.  Kelly Black was reportedly walking her dog Paco in Jacksonville, Florida when she was fatally struck by a semi-truck in the car park of a grocery store. Paco stayed near the spot his owner was tragically killed (image via Twitter/RussellColburn) According to Action News Jax, police were called to the scene at approximately 6:15am on Friday morning after the hit-and-run incident took place. The victim's dog Paco, who was a rescue dog from Hurricane Katrina, stayed at the scene of the accident and lay on the ground where his owner had passed away until family members came to retrieve him.
