Simon Cowell Hints at Louis Walsh Departure on Twitter

At the weekend it was reported that Louis Walsh was told that he was no longer required for The X Factor and now it seems Simon Cowell has confirmed the rumours. The music mogul took to Twitter to praise his friend, seemingly alluding to the fact that he won’t be back.

Louis Walsh is one of the good guys. We will always be friends. The door remains open and who knows what's next.......

While this is pretty revealing, we wouldn’t be surprised if Louis did end up on our small screens this summer. After all, there has been no official confirmation that he has been dropped from the judging line-up. That hasn’t stopped speculation about a replacement with both Louis Tomlinson and Nick Grimshaw being linked to the role. Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell have been friends for years.
