As Dry January nears its end, the movement, catalysed by the likes of Chrissy Teigen, extends beyond specific months of the year.

Teigen is a vocal advocate for sobriety and emphasises that you don’t need to be labelled as an alcoholic to recognise the potential benefits of a booze-free life.

Celebrities like Chrissy have sparked an open dialogue, breaking the stigma around quitting drinking. 

In 2020, she shared her journey inspired by the book "Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol." 

She explained her decision and said it was fuelled by her desire to break free from the negative impacts of alcohol.

Irish and UK influencers are also jumping on the trend and are filming their journeys, encouraging an onslaught of people to join the movement.

So, whether it's committing to Sober October, extending Dry January into February, or making a lifelong choice for sobriety, the global conversation is thriving.
