The youngest self-made billionaire in the world is Irish

An Irish guy has been named the world's youngest self-made billionaire.

Cofounder and President of Stripe, John Collison, has topped the list of the world's youngest self-made billionaires. John and his brother Patrick, who are from Limerick, started a payments company, Stripe, in September 2011 and now value the company at $9.2 billion following a new round of funding last week. According to Forbes, both brothers are worth approximately $1.1 billion, making John, the younger of the two, the world's youngest self-made billionaire. At just 26, he's two months younger than Snapchat's founder Evan Spiegel who also made the list. The only other self-made billionaires on the list under the age of 30 are Patrick Collison (28) and Snapchat cofounder Bobby Murphy (28). The youngest billionaire, not self-made, is 20-year-old Norwegian Alexandra Andresen, who inherited a 42% stake in family-owned investment company Ferd.
