The Vermont native built a dog-friendly kayak by redesigning two of the baggage compartments on his Pygmy Boat.
He told the Huffington Post that to keep the ladies safe, he attached borders to the seats to keep them cozy, and off they went.
He added: “Our dogs have always loved to travel with us in cars, in my airplane, in boats - building a way for them to kayak with us just seemed like a logical choice."
In an interview with The Dodo, he further explained: “They are trained to get in the kayak themselves on command. They sit down, and off we go. When we come ashore, they’ll stay seated until I tell them it’s OK to get out."
Moving past the fact that if we tried to put our dogs in a kayak with us we would capsize in mere moments, this is an absolutely class idea.
