This New Sex-Ed Book Explains Where Babies Come From In A VERY Modern Way

When Fiona Katauskas realised that bookshops were still selling the same sex ed books her mother had learned from, she decided she had to do something about it.  The Aussie mum-of-two was shocked to find that most people were still referring to the 1973 sex education manual, Where Did I Come From. She told the Daily Mail Australia: "As nice as it is, it's quite outdated so I decided to give it a go and try and write one myself." The 45-year-old's book, The Amazing True Story of How Babies Are Made, includes chapters on IVF, sperm donation, caesarean sections and premature births as well as conception and birth, puberty, genitals and reproductive system information. The political cartoonist explained: "I wanted to be a bit more scientific and clearer in my approach, and to show the mechanics of everything. "Since 1973, assisted reproduction has become increasingly common and is also part of the story of how the egg meets sperm... even though they meet in a different way."
