This Poem is an Absolutely Beautiful Tribute to The Easter Rising

Ireland has a long history of prolific writers, poets and artists. As we remember those who shaped us in the past, it’s a fitting tribute that we acknowledge the next generation of writers and creators. One poet with massive potential is Jack O’Rourke who penned this tribute to the 1916 Rising. The poem has been performed by members of Bitter Like Lemon theatre company. Dublin-based Bitter Like Lemon consists of Lee Coffey, Amilia Stewart, Conall Keating, Emily Gillmor Murphy and Garreth Caulfield. The unfunded company endeavors to produce new Irish writing that will lower the age demographic of Irish Film and Theatre.
