The monthly salaries range from $10k a month in Snapchat with an added bonus of $1.5k towards housing costs, to e-commerce giant Amazon giving interns a respectable $6k per month with similar benefits. While this seems like a lavish amount of money to earn at entry level, it's important to note that the cost of living in many of the tech hubs in the States means that a salary like this is a basic necessity for interns to survive.
