So, when UK bakery chain Greggs included a giant sausage roll in a nativity scene advert right where the baby Jesus was supposed to be, understandably, people were a little bit confused.
Some people were even angry.
But most, to be honest, just thought it was the funniest thing that ever happened in the history of advertising.
Here's the image in question.

And here's one person who thought that equating the Jewish son of God to a sausage roll was wildly inappropriate.
However, others weren't so bothered by the photo. They actually found it quite funny. And seeing as it is literally a photo of a sausage roll lying in a manger, we can very much see why. https://twitter.com/Novembervivi/status/930736256283234304 https://twitter.com/tomvictor/status/930733592984084480 https://twitter.com/Prague_Tony/status/930757989664985088 https://twitter.com/DawnHFoster/status/930724002913570816 The image was created to promote Greggs' advent calendar which hopefully includes a little steak pie behind every door. However, due to the amount of attention the sausage roll nativity scene has been getting (and the few complaints that have come with it), the bakery chain has been forced to apologise for replacing the baby Jesus with some pork wrapped in pastry. A Greggs spokesperson told the Northern Echo today:Out of interest do you think the people at Greggs understand that Jesus was Jewish and serving up a pork sausage roll in the manger is unbelievably inappropriate?
