What an achievement. Irish eyes were certainly smiling in California this week as Ian Dempsey and the Today FM crew caught the very special moment that Ireland’s Dearbhail Savage found out she had won gold at the Special Olympics World Games.

Ian was interviewing the teen from Co. Armagh, who is also Ireland’s youngest athlete at the Games this year, before the news was announced that she’d won gold in her equestrian event.
