If you are a woman running a business – or are about to start your own business – this might be of interest.
Ahead of International Women’s Day tomorrow, March 8th, The Doyle Collection, which includes The Westbury Hotel here in Dublin, has announced a head shot initiative offering complimentary headshots for women in business across hotels in London, Dublin, Cork and Washington DC.
Whether working within an international firm or as an entrepreneur starting out in a new industry, securing a headshot often falls to the wayside on a list of priorities, most especially after a year that has posed unprecedented challenges for all industries.
The Westbury, Dublin is teaming up with Dress for Success and offering women the opportunity to get professional headshots taken. Participants will be able to book a slot on selected dates this summer to have their headshots captured by local, professional female photographers in a safe and socially distanced environment.
The initiative will run simultaneously at The Marylebone in London, The Westbury in Dublin, The River Lee in Cork and stateside at The Dupont Circle in Washington D.C.

The hotels will partner with creatives in each city, who will profile the participants in a professional and stylish setting. In London, Claire Menary will capture each guest, with every participant coming away with a digital headshot that can be used as a valuable marketing tool - whether it be for a website, social media or press outreach. Every participant will also be gifted with a goodie bag filled with treats from each hotel.
This initiative has been supported by The Doyle Collection’s Chairman, Bernie Gallagher. The daughter of the late PV Doyle who founded the group and now Chairman herself, she is determined to support and empower the next generation of international businesswomen.
"I believe International Women’s Day is an opportunity for society to celebrate all women in our communities–from CEOs, recent graduates, full-time mothers, retired citizens and carers," Gallagher said.
"As a female leader in international business, I am proud of the respectful ethos and culture we have created for our team, whether male or female. To mark International Women’s Day in this year which has been challenging to so many, we wanted to offer something that will help women progress in the future. We hope this initiative will instil greater confidence in women taking part in business throughout the world."
The announcement will take place on the hotel’s respective social media channels on Monday 8th March 2021. @thedoylecollection @HotelMarylebone @WestburyDublin @TheRiverLee @DupontCircHotel
