A woman living in Direct Provision wants to open up a beauty salon in one of the centres.

She just needs the funds to get started. Yetunde Fashola, a qualified makeup artist living in the Mosney Direct Provision centre, has set up a GoFundMe page to achieve her goal. She said that she thinks opening up a salon will encourage positivity around the centre.

"My goal is to provide a beauty salon where women can go to be pampered and learn new skills. This space will restore positivity and self esteem to the lives of women in direct provision."

The makeup artist also wrote that she wants to "add a slices of colour and happiness to the faces of women living in DP." The salon, she said, would boost the confidence of the women living in Mosney. Yetunde's goal is €1,500, which she needs for hair and makeup materials. She has already raised almost €1,000.
