X Factor’s Mason Noise Says He Received Death Threats After Comment About Liam Payne

Former X Factor contestant Mason Noise says he received death threats online after calling One Direction's Liam Payne a "Harry Styles backing singer". A report in The Mirror explains how 1D fans took offence to the remark with Mason saying that he's received a lot of backlash online.

Mason made the comment about Liam Payne on social media a couple of weeks ago writing: "one of the highlights of my experience, meeting one of Harry Styles' backing singers".

Talking to The Sun about the incident, Mason said: "There were loads of comments. I had a few people say that I made their night and I had some people say there's a special place in hell for me, but I kind of knew that already". "I got told to kill myself by 12 year old girls". Mason also said that he didn't expect to people to react in that way and it was meant to be a "funny thing". "I didn't expect it. Just like you would banter your lads in the pub, it was a funny thing" he continued.
