Add us as a preferred source on Google »The 3Arena has confirmed the venue's bars will be closed during David Gray's concert this week.
The decision comes after complaints were made following Gray's 3Arena concert earlier this month.
Concert goers complained that people were constantly coming and going from the bar at the Dublin venue.
The 3Arena stated: "Once David Gray goes on stage, all bars will close and will remain closed for the duration of the show.
"Please respect the other customers in attendance and, more importantly enjoy the show."
The news has been met with a positive response from fans with many calling for this rule to be introduced at more gigs in the future.
One person said, "Such a shame this never happened at our gig there the last time we were there to see David Gray it was a shambles with people constantly coming and going. I'm sure it will be a fantastic gig this time around."
Another said, "Pity this isn't done for all shows. When I was at the Sugababes concert people kept getting up and down constantly to go to the bar."
Gray said his Dublin gig on April 5th was "so rowdy."
“People were hammered. It was so rowdy. I don’t think I’ve ever heard an audience as rowdy as that. It was a bit out of control in a way."
He explained, "It’s very hard to weave the subtleties and emotional context and storytelling into the show. We just had to keep our heads down and power through."
