Boy, 4, loses his fight for life – following house fire that also killed his mother and sister

Gardai have tragically confirmed a fourth death resulting from a house fire this morning.

The four-year-old boy was the brother of one of the little girls who died earlier today in Clondalkin in west Dublin. The child passed away in hospital this evening.

The Irish Examiner reported this evening that the 27-year-old woman who died in the blaze had been named locally as AnneMarie O'Brien - she is believed to have been seven months' pregnant. Her daughter, Paris, who was two, and three-year-old Holly O'Brien, were also killed.

A 30-year-old woman, believed to be  Holly's mum, remains in critical condition in hospital this evening.

The apartment block in Clondalkin was used by the domestic violence charity, Sonas, as support accommodation for women fleeing domestic abuse.
