Broadcaster Danny Baker has been fired from the BBC after sharing a photo of the royal baby as a chimp.
The 61-year-old, who presented a show on BBC Radio 5 Live, tweeted an image of a well dressed couple exiting a building holing hands with a chimp who is wearing a two piece suit and using a cane.
Baker captioned the photo: "Royal baby leaves hospital" before swiftly deleting the post.
The presenter was fired this morning over the racist connotations associated with the image.
"Just got fired from @bbc5live," he tweeted today. "For the record - it was red sauce. Always."

"Danny made a serious error of judgement on social media last night and it goes against the values we live and breathe on this radio station," station controller Jonathan Wall said in a staff email this morning.
Baker apologised for the tweet earlier today, saying that it was "stupid" and "unthinking."
