Tributes have poured in for the veteran actor who passed away on Saturday, March 8.
His husband Tony took to Facebook to share the news: "I have some very sad news. At 2:50 this afternoon Simon passed away.
"I’ll be keeping this account open for a while. I’m not sure at this point if I’ll be posting again. Thank you."
Simon's agent Kim Barry of Jaffrey Management wrote: "Today I lost not only a client in Simon Fisher-Becker, but a close personal friend of 15 years standing.
"I shall never forget the phone call I made to him when he was offered the part of Dorium Moldovar in BBC’s Dr Who.
"Simon was also a writer, a raconteur and a great public speaker. He helped me out enormously and was kind, gracious and interested in everyone."
The actor, who appeared in several films and shows, was possibly best known for his role in the BBC's Puppy Love as Tony Fazackerley.
He also appeared alongside Matt Smith's Doctor in the Beeb's revival series, as well as there Oscar winning 2012 musical film, Les Misérables, as Master of the House.
Fans have taken to social media to remember the actor, with one labelling him 'a legend of Who'.
