Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has been banned from driving.
Watson was caught by a speeding camera while driving her driving her £30,000 Audi on a restricted road on July 31 last year.
She was caught doing 38mph in a 30mph zone in Banbury, Oxford.
The 35-year-old already had nine points on her licence, but had another three points added at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court today.
She has received a six month ban as a result.
The actress has also been ordered to pay a fine of £650, alongside £120 of court costs and a surcharge of £264.
She did not attend the hearing in person, but her fine was reduced due to her guilty plea.
Watson’s Audi was impounded in 2024 after a parking fine.
The vehicle had been left outside the Rose and Crown pub in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and was blocking another car in for three hours.
The owner of the other vehicle was unable to locate the car’s owner, and so called the police.
Watson has stayed out of the spotlight in recent years, with her most recent film appearance being in 2019’s Little Women.
She is reportedly studying for a doctorate at Oxford University, after graduating from Brown University with a degree in English Literature in 2014.
She previously opened up to the Financial Times about why she took a step back from acting.
She told the publication: “I wasn’t very happy, if I’m being honest. I think I felt a bit caged.
“The thing I found really hard was that I had to go out and sell something that I really didn’t have very much control over.
“To stand in front of a film and have every journalist be able to say, ‘How does this align with your viewpoint?’
“It was very difficult to have to be the face and the spokesperson for things where I didn’t get to be involved in the process.”
