According to Independent.ie, emergency plans have been put in place in the event of school closures Thursday and Friday. In October last year, schools nationwide closed for two days on account of Storm Ophelia and it's likely that the same measures could be taken in the coming days. Early reports suggest that the east of the country will be impacted heavily but this is subject to change. Frequent snow showers are likely across Leinster, east Ulster and southeast Munster tonight and tomorrow although there "will be a good deal of dry weather elsewhere". From Wednesday on, snow showers are expected to become heavier and more frequent.
