Police found note saying ‘I am evil. I did this’ in nurse Lucy Letby’s home

The former nurse is on trial in Manchester.

*Warning* This article mentions distressing information. Police found a note saying 'I am evil. I did this' in Lucy Letby's home, a court has been told. During a search of Lucy Letby's house, police discovered the post-it note. According to Metro, police also found a piece of paper. Lucy Letby reportedly wrote, 'I don’t deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough to care for them.' The former nurse is currently on trial for the murder of seven babies and the attempted murder of 10 other babies. Today, Manchester Crown Court was told about the 'interesting items' found at Letby's home. Prosecutor Nick Johnson stated; "I have already told you that the police found a large quantity of hospital paperwork relating to many of the children whose deaths and collapses you are now considering. "They also found some other interesting items. "There were some Post-it notes with closely-written words, some of which included the names of some of her colleagues. "On some of the notes were phrases like as “Why/how has this happened". Johnson showed the jury a yellow post-it note that had 'I am evil. I did this' written in capital letters on it. Letby has denied all charges. She allegedly committed the murders at the Countess of Chester Hospital between 2015 and 2016. The trial continues.
