Famous New York toy store, FAO Schwarz, will open in Ireland this year

You're never too old for toys... well at least that's how we feel. There's nothing more magical than a giant shop filled with toys and treasures. Perhaps the most famous of them all is FAO Schwarz, a world famous toy shop that is somewhat of a New York legend. The massive flagship store, which was located on Fifth Avenue in NYC, closed a few years back, and reopened in Rockefeller Plaza. And now, in an amazing twist, FAO Schwarz is coming to Dublin! We know, it's so freaking exciting. The brand will launch in Arnotts towards the end of the year (October to be exact) - just in time for the Christmas season. The Arnotts store will apparently be all about a theme - the Return to Wonder. The store will be 6,000 sq ft, and will offer customers play-based platforms and unique experiences unlike anything available in Ireland today. FAO Schwarz in New York is famous for that giant piano that you can dance on and play music - so hopefully we get one of those lads. Speaking about the exciting announcement, Donald McDonald, Managing Director at Brown Thomas and Arnotts said: "Arnotts is home to the world’s most prestigious, exciting and innovative brands.
