A major change is on its way for some of Dublin's Penneys locations as the shops undergo a rearrangement in the new year.
It has been revealed that Penneys has cut ties with the retailer WornWell, which featured in several popular Irish locations and in the UK.
WornWell was introduced in 2023, offering vintage and second-hand clothing, and proved to be a popular and well-liked addition to Penney's three years ago.
Tim Kelly, the director of new business at Penneys, said in 2023: "We're always looking to partner with brands that our customers will love to ensure they have the best in-store experience possible."
However, now Primark has released a statement calling attention to how the company is always striving to provide the best shopping experience for customers. And going forward, this will mean the closure of WornWell in some Irish stores, such as the ones in Dundrum and St Mary's Street.
The statement read: "As we've expanded our own product offering, we are adapting our spaces so that each store is best set up to cater to local customers' preferences.
"As part of this, we have been reviewing our in-store concessions and considering how we can maximise and best use the space we have in our stores."
It has already been revealed that WornWell will be leaving the stores by the end of the month, however, the exact date remains unknown for the Irish stores affected.
