Penneys opening first-ever standalone homeware store in Belfast

Penneys is gearing up for an exciting launch this March with the opening of its first-ever standalone Primark Home store in Belfast. 

Spanning about 8,700 square feet on a single floor, the store promises to be a dream destination for homeware lovers.

In recent years, people have started putting more thought and care into their homes, and Primark’s homeware range has become a go-to for stylish yet affordable interior updates. 

From high-quality essentials like cotton bedding and towels to trendy soft furnishings, decorative accents, and quirky kitchen ceramics, the collection has something for everyone. 

While Primark introduced its expanded homeware range to many of its stores globally in 2021, this standalone store takes things to the next level by offering even more choice and inspiration for customers looking to create spaces they love.

Fintan Costello, Head of Primark Northern Ireland and Ireland, shared his excitement about the new store and said: “This is a truly proud moment for Primark as we open our first standalone Primark Home store. 

“Belfast felt like the perfect place to bring this concept to life, and Fountain House offers an incredible setting in the heart of the city centre to showcase our expanded homeware range.

"Our Home collection has always proven to be a real hit among our Belfast customers, and we can’t wait to welcome them into our very first Primark Home store.”

The new store will be Primark’s 10th in Northern Ireland and brings a fresh chapter for the Fountain House building, which previously served as a temporary location for Primark from 2019 to 2022 during the restoration of the Bank Buildings store. 

With this move, Primark will relocate its homeware offerings from the Bank Buildings store, freeing up space to expand its kidswear and menswear collections there.

It’s an exciting time for Belfast shoppers and Primark (Penneys) fans alike, as the brand sets out to make home decorating as fun and affordable as updating your wardrobe.
