PICS: The world’s tallest slide has finally arrived and tickets are on sale NOW

SUPER FUN HAPPY SLIDE!

The world's biggest tunnel slide is nearing completion - and tickets for the adventurous are now on sale... and we're just a tad excited. Anish Kapoor’s Olympic Orbit Tower in London is finally being turned into one massive helter skelter after years of merely looking like one. For a £15 ticket (€19.50 - €13 for children), visitors will be given access to the giant 178m tower (it's taller than the Statue of Liberty) and all of its platforms, and of course, be able to use its incredible slide. Boasting a run time of 40-seconds and top speeds of 15mph, the Orbit Tower is not a slide to be sniffed at. According to the website:

"...visitors will circle around the ArcelorMittal Orbit 12 times as they weave their way through the famous loops and curves of the iconic structure, including a tight corkscrew section named the 'bettfeder' – after the German word for 'bedspring' – and end with a 50m straight run back down to earth!"

It's a heck of a way to take in London's skyline, hurtling through a great big tunnel slide. And as a added fee of £5 (€6.50), users can have another go on the slide - just in case there was anything they had missed out on/were too busy screaming to notice.
