In a country devastated by a natural disaster, the image of one baby boy is giving some hope to the broken-hearted masses.
A picture has emerged from Nepal of a four-month-old being pulled from the rubble of the earthquake that claimed the lives of over 5,000.
Nepalese newspaper Kathmandu Today published the powerful images, which show the child being lifted from the rubble by Nepalese soldiers. The baby's face is covered in dust from the debris he lay in for almost a day.
According to CNN, the baby's name is Sonit Awal. Just one day previous, he was at home in Muldhoka, Bhaktapur, east of Kathmandu, when the 7.8-magnitude quake sent tremors through Nepal, being cared for by his family.
